Niki reviews the 2016 season so far.
Niklas Krütten had a great start to the 2016 season with his new team Ricky Flynn Motorsport. The young, talented rising star displayed an impressive performance at recent events, collecting good positions and points finished on an international level. The “young gun” talks to us and answers a few questions to the current season.
1. Would you have expected for the season to go that well?
“I was convinced that we would make good progress. The last races of the previous season were ok and we consequently worked hard over the winter. To be able to set the same lap times as some of the front runners was something I hoped for. My new team has the best premises to transfer the things I learned last year and continuously develop.”
2. Which goals have you set yourself for the coming races?
“I have set the goals of reaching the Top-10 in the upcoming EM rounds. I am positive that we can improve on the overall speed. But I prefer to set realistic goals and be able to exceed the expectations. The surroundings are great and the preparations with my Team RFM and my fitness partner, ProPerformance, go really well.”
3. Do you think you can secure your first victory?
“The starting grids at the coming races are extremely competitive. The worldwide best drivers will gather at these events. To win a race, everything has to come together and you also need a little bit of luck. My team and myself will do everything in order to achieve it.”
