Niklas Krütten fully motivated for European Championship in Spain

After a four-week brake, the young driver Niklas Krütten is looking ahead to the next milestone of the exciting season: the 13-year-old is aiming to continue his strong performance with another great result at the CIK-FIA European Championship taking place this coming weekend at the International Circuit of Zuera (Spain) from 13th until 15th May.

The young driver from Trier demonstrated an aspiring performance and was the best German starter at the WSK Super Master Series races three times in a row. Despite a string of bad luck in the pre-finals, he kept fighting his way back with lap-times competing in the Top-10, moving up into the finals well deserved. Niklas is fully motivated to compete at the first of four rounds of this year´s CIK-FIA European Championship, which is with 1.7 km length the longest track of the season.

“During the time between the last race I had a few tests with my team Ricky Flynn Motorsport”, says Niklas. “I spent a lot of time in the kart and we worked intensively on Setups and different strategies. Zuera will be a great challenge. It will be my debut in the European Championship and the starting field is immensely strong.” 82 of the worldwide best drivers from a total of 34 nations will compete in the OK-Junior, the category in which Niklas takes part.

“The racing season is finally picking up again with Zuera”, says Niklas. “After that race, we are already heading to the WSK Masters in Adria and after one-week gap, there are two more European Championship rounds. We made the most of the time we had and are fully motivated. The season is still young and there are many more highlights to come. The first races went really well and I am happy with the development. I am very excited about Zuera, because I can race against the best drivers in the world.”
